It’s very doubtful if the movie with such an explicit scene and underage boy could be done today. I’m amazed that I’ve never seen any comment or reference to the boy’s erection and possible actual sex taking place, it sure seems like it may have happened. The boy’s erection is noticeable and it seems like actual penetration is taking place as the dissolving scenes blend into each other. The scene is very intimate and reveals probably more than intended. The sex scene near the end of the movie is quite explicit, although toned down by the long dissolves, but both Leticia Perdigon and the boy are completely nude. His acting is believable and does make the film work. The movie focuses on the yearnings of many an adolescent boy coping with the frustrated sexual temptations and resulting wet dreams of early teenage years. I agree wholeheartedly with Charles King’s review that the film is “pleasant and well done” for its day.
